Shipping policy

UK Delivery

Most items are held in stock but some of the items are made to order. If an item is in stock it will be dispatched as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours of placing the order. Items that need to be made to order will be dispatched in 2-3 weeks at most.

Any time or date stated for delivery is an estimate only.

If you require an item urgently for a special date or event please contact Heavy Gretel and we will try our best to accommodate your requirements.

UK Customers have two shipping options:

• UPS Standard for a flat rate of £4.75. Full tracking is provided for all orders sent with UPS, and parcels are signed for. Parcels are usually delivered the next business day but can take longer during busy periods such as Christmas.
• Royal Mail Tracked 48 for a flat rate of £2.85. Tracking is provided for orders sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48, delivery times are estimated.
• £2.85 is the cost of a Royal Mail 'Small Parcel'.
• Royal Mail Tracked 24 for a flat rate of £3.85. Tracking is for orders sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24, delivery times are estimated.
• £3.85 is the cost of a Royal Mail 'Small Parcel'.

Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday.

All orders over £50 are automatically eligible for free UK shipping, free shipping will be added at the checkout once the order total reaches £50.

An additional Click & Collect service is available for no charge, please read below.

Click & Collect

If you would prefer to collect your order from our store, please make an order as usual via the website. Click & Collect incurs no shipping costs.

At the checkout page you will be provided with an opportunity to select the "Collect in store" delivery option.

Shortly after you place your order using the Click & Collect service, you will be contacted by Heavy Gretel via email to arrange a suitable collection time and day. Once the collection date has been confirmed, please bring your order confirmation email to the shop as proof of purchase and your order will be released.

International Delivery

We ship to many international destinations. Items are sent via UPS Standard. Full tracking is provided for all orders sent with UPS. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday. We currently ship to the EU, North & Central America and some Asian and Middle Eastern countries, and are constantly adding new international delivery destinations as soon as they are available via UPS.

Each country we ship to has a flat rate cost, as shown in the table below. All international orders over £70 are automatically eligible for free shipping, free shipping will be added at the checkout once the order total reaches £70.

We are unable to send live plants internationally, so you will not be able to complete an order if it contains a live plant.

Please note, all items are sent DDU (delivered duties unpaid), therefore any import taxes must be paid by the customer.

Meanwhile, we suggest that international customers can also shop our range of products by visiting our boutique profile on Trouva.com, as they offer discounted shipping rates.

Christmas Delivery

All delivery companies continue to experience high demand at this time of year, and some deliveries are taking longer to arrive. Please bear this in mind when ordering and select the appropriate delivery option.

UK Deliveries: last suggested order dates to ensure delivery before Christmas are as follows. We cannot guarantee delivery, these dates are the absolute last dates we suggest based off of our carriers lead times. Order sooner to avoid disappointment and choose the appropriate option.

• Royal Mail Tracked 48 - order by Thursday 15th December.
• Royal Mail Tracked 24 - order by Sunday 18th December.
• UPS Standard - order by Tuesday 20th December.
• Click + collect - order by Friday 23rd December.

International Deliveries: last suggested order date to ensure delivery before Christmas is Sunday 11th December 23.59GMT
